"You're Still A Part of Me" is a process painting I created after hearing about the unexpected death of a beloved childhood friend. Originally not for sale, I decided to offer it as a part of this collection because painting this piece truly helped me move out of grief and into gratitude for Blake's life and the time we shared together. I wanted to offer that catharsis to anyone who might need it. This layered beauty represents the decision to use grief, instead of letting it use you. There is so much purpose in grief, its a means of transformation and a humble reminder of our own humanity.
