We're starting off strong with my hand painted watercolor bookmarks. Not only are they super affordable, but they're also beautiful little pieces of original artwork. The perfect gift for someone who enjoys bespoke, handmade goods, and of course, loves to read! Watercolor and gouache on early sage toned paper, laminated and made to last. Gifts for aspiring artists:

If drawing or coloring feels meditative and calming to you, or if you have a sweet kiddo looking to improve their drawing skills, I have the perfect book for you! I wrote and illustrated a drawing book called "How to Draw Flowers like an Artist" and it includes 50 different step by step floral line drawings, perfect for both kids and adults.

Gifts for new home owners:

Invest in this collection of four affordable, ready to frame paintings for your friend or loved one who is celebrating a new home or apartment this season. As a set of four pieces these works will easily fill up a decent amount of wall space and will a touch of warmth and nature to and room.

About the work: stylized florals in deep indigo with a painterly feel and scalloped edges. Mounted on custom vintage textile mat. These vingettes invite you to lsow down and savor the nature of a garden in bloom.

Gifts for the ones who raised you:

Gift a hand painted ceramic ornament, meant to serve as an heirloom to be passed down each generation. Each ornament is hand-painted on a ceramic base with artist-grade acrylics, then sealed with a UV-protective varnish to preserve its color and gentle sheen for years to come. The ribbons are thoughtfully sourced from vintage and secondhand textiles and are hand-torn for a soft, frayed edge that adds a touch of timeworn charm. Measuring 3.5" in diameter, every bauble arrives in its own protective velvet bag along with a care card, ready to be cherished as a keepsake or gifted with love. Be sure to click through individual ornament listings to read more about the meaning behind each design.

Gifts for your Partner:

When it comes to finding a gift for your partner it's important to find something that truly represents your heart towards them, the love you have for them – something that shows that you see the sacrifice of their labor and how deeply they care about designing a beautiful life and managing a family. Gifting original artwork is a deeply romantic gesture that can symbolize your connection for years to come while making your home shine.

I suggest gifting framed artwork so that it's ready to hang when your partner unwraps their gift.

Gifts for your budget:

There's a wide price range in my shop, from $12 to $250+ because fine art is special and should be accessible for everyone. Art carries such precious, transformative, and positive energy and I can't recommend gifting artwork and creating a moment your loved ones won't ever forget. Not to mention that making even one purchase from me is supporting a small business, allowing me to keep creating beautiful work and doing what I love. Hand painted bookmarks (linked at the top of this post) are $12 each with free shipping. I also have a variety of floral studies (small original paintings on paper) for $20 each.

Every item that leaves my studio is packaged with so much care and intention, making sure that when your loved one unwraps their gift it feels just as special as the gift itself.

Frequently Asked Questions from Holiday Shoppers:

What makes fine art an heirloom gift?

Fine art is inherently personal. When someone chooses a piece of original artwork for a loved one, they’re not offering something machine or mass-made, they're offering a gift that is precious, increases in value as time passes, and carries the weight of story and meaning. My artowrk is created slowly, intentionally, and with archival materials designed to stand the test of time. Artwork becomes something that lives with a family through every season of life. A vintage inspired painting hung at a child's bedside, a hand painted ornament placed delicately on the tree each December, or a framed print celebrating a milestone. These items absorb memory. Over time, they stop being “things” and start becoming markers of who we were, what we loved, and how we lived. That emotional longevity is what makes fine art one of the most meaningful heirloom gifts.

I'm not sure what to buy, but I know my wife loves your stuff.

I offer digital gift cards, please email me at skye@indigoskyefineart.com for more information.

What if my ornament breaks at some point in the future?

My ornaments are painted on a ceramic bauble base so they are fragile. If handled with care your ornament will last for years to come. Every ornament order comes with a care card detailing how to protect it as well as it's own velvet protective bag. I understand that accidents do happen. If your ornament breaks I'm happy to work with you to replace the ornament at the original price it was purchased at. Email me at skye@indigoskyefineart.com.

Do you take commissions?

Thank you for your interest! At this point in time commissions are closed. But please join my email list to get notified when new work hits the shop.

Can I order gift wrapping on my order?

I really love the packaging process and always make every order as pretty as possible before it leaves my studio, but if you have a specific vision or want photos of how your order is packaged, please email me at skye@indigoskyefineart.com.

How do I choose the right size art piece for a new home?

Think of art as the visual anchor of a room. The right size will feel harmonious with both the wall and the surrounding furniture. A good starting point: choose a piece that spans roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture it sits above. If you’re choosing art for an empty wall, imagine the piece acting as a window — large enough to draw the eye, but with enough space around it to breathe. I am a huge fan of creating small unexpected moments of warmth and love to add artwork in unexpected places. You really can't go wrong as long as you're not buying a single small piece for a large wall or choosing a large-scale piece for a small wall space.
